ADMISSION


  1. Bonafide category of students & staffs studying/working in the TNPES University shall be admitted in University Library as members. The bonafide categories are:
    • Regular Undergraduate, Postgraduate Students, M.Phil & Ph.D Scholars Full Time / Part Time.
    • Staff Teaching & Non Teaching Staff
    • Temporary Teaching Assistants.
  2. The following members are allowed admission in the library:
    • • Regular Undergraduate, Postgraduate Students, M.Phil & Ph.D Scholars Full Time / Part Time.
    • Staff Teaching & Non Teaching Staff
    • Temporary Teaching Assistants
    • DDE Students of TNPESU
    • Ex-employees of TNPESU
    • Affiliated College students and staffs with valid ID Card
    • Any other person with permission of the Librarian may enter the Library.
  3. The right of admission shall be denied to a person if in the opinion of the Librarian he/she is
    • Shabbily dressed
    • of unsound mind
    • intoxicated
  4. Members are requested to bring their Membership Card whenever they visit the library.
  5. Staff at the security counter is authorized to check the Membership Card at the entrance of the library.
  6. All members are requested to put their barcode attendance compulsorily at Gate Entry in the barcode scanner kept at the Security Desk.
  7. Members are requested to deposit their belongings such as bag, umbrella, file, personnel Books and Journals at the Library Security cum Deposit Counter and obtain the token without fail
  8. Only loose sheets, Laptops, Mobiles, Tabs and Wallet will be allowed inside the library.
  9. Members should properly take back the deposited belongings the same day and should return the Token issued against their belongings.
  10. By mistake if a member lost token he/she have to pay Rs.50 as fine in the circulation desk and submit the fine receipt to the security as duplicate token and receive the belongings deposited in the deposit counter.
  11. Security at the Gate entry is empowered to examine everything that passes into / out of the library.
  12. Before leaving the Library readers shall return to the assistant at the counter any book(s), journals, magazines, theses & dissertations which they had taken for consultation
  13. Members shall be responsible for any damage or injury done to the book(s) or any other property belonging to the Library and shall be required to replace such book(s) or other property damaged or injured, or pay the value there of; if one book of a set is injured, the whole set shall be replaced.
  14. Any infringement of the rules will render the privilege of admission to and of borrowing book(s) from the Library to forfeiture.
  15. Members may not write upon, damage or make any mark upon any book, periodicals, or theses belonging to the Library.
